Ely Skip Hire Ltd established in 1985 are a family run business that started out supplying a small number of mini skips locally in and around Ely.

To date and operating from two sites based in Ely & Cambridge, Ely Skip Hire Ltd has grown to be one of the premier skip hire companies in the area providing skip hire and waste recycling to homeowners and construction sites across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Norfolk.

Doug Stuart, owner of Ely Skip Hire Ltd is extremely proud of their green credentials.  ESH aim to recycle 95% of all waste they handle, keeping to a minimum waste that has to go to landfill helping ESH to reduce the impact of waste on the environment.

Ely Skip Hire use excavators fitted with a sorting grab to pick and sort bulky waste at both of their recycling facilities ready for processing. Carrying out this process with skilled operators keeps to a minimum the need for manual sorting, using excavators can make the process more efficient and vastly reduces health and safety risks.

Due to continued growth, ESH saw the need to expand their fleet of excavators at both their waste recycling facilities.  Looking for a local supplier ESH contacted Sophie Carter from Global Machinery Solutions Ltd, the SANY Construction Equipment dealer for Cambridgeshire and the surrounding areas and asked her to call in so they could find out more about SANY Excavators and GMS.

Being able to supply ESH SANY excavators from stock and GMS having their main SANY service and sales depot based in Mildenhall certainly helped ESH with the decision to invest in SANY Construction Equipment. 

Doug Stuart placed an initial order for two excavators through Sophie for a SANY SY80U and SY155U requesting both machines be delivered as soon as possible, within two weeks both machines were prepared, delivered and installed on site. Based on the back up and service Doug received from GMS and Sophie a further order for one more SANY SY155U was placed.
